allows autopilot
engagement
up
to
the
pitch
and
roll
attitudes
shown
in
the
autopilot
limitations of
Section
2. rf
the
autopilot
is
engaged
at
a
pitch or
roll
attitude
within
the
expanded engagement envelope
but
beyond the
maximum autopilot command
limits,
the airplane
will
be
pitched
or rolled to
the
maximum autopilot command
limits.
Audio
Panel
The
audio panel contains
traditional
transmitter and receiver
selectors, as
well
as an
integral intercom
and marker beacon system. The marker
beacon
lights
appear
on
the
PFD
and the
marker
beacon
audio
can be heard
over
the
headsets
or
cockpit
speaker.
In
addition,
a
clearance recorder records
the
last 2Vzminutes
of
received audio.
Lights
above
the
audio panel selection buttons
indicate
which
selections are
active.
If
a
failure of
COMI
and
COM2
occurs, a
fail-safe
communications path
is
available between the
pilot's
headset/microphone
and
COMI.
The
fail-safe
communications path
is
activated
by pulling
the
AUDIO
MKR
circuit
breaker located on the
circuit
breaker panel.
The
PILOT knob
located towards the
bottom of
the audio panel
allows switching
between
volume
and squelch
control
as
indicated by
illumination
of
VOL
or
SQ.
Turn
the
knob to
adjust
intercom volume or
squelch. The
MAN
SQ
key must
be
selected
to
allow
squelch adjustment.
The red
DISPLAY
BACKUP button at the bottom
of
the
audio
panel allows
manual selection
of
the
reversionary display
mode.
