8.7 Replacing an Insulation Monitoring Instrument

Prerequisites

When replacing an insulation monitoring instrument, wear insulated gloves and

do not touch the copper bar.

Procedure

Step 1 Open the front door of the combiner cabinet.

Step 2 Loosen the screws on the protective panel of the insulation monitoring instrument

and open the protective panel.

Take appropriate insulation measures to avoid electric shocks when opening the

protective panel.

Step 3 Disconnect the PSU fuses FU11 and FU12 and check that the power indicator is

off.

Step 4 Remove the wiring terminals from the insulation monitoring instrument.

Step 5 Remove the insulation monitoring instrument.

Tools: electroprobe, insulated gloves, Phillips screwdriver, multimeter, step

ladder, key to the combiner cabinet door

Material: A new insulation monitoring instrument of the same model is

available and functional.

NO TICE

Remove the screws that secure the sheet metal of the insulation monitoring

instrument, and remove the instrument and its sheet metal.

Remove the screws that secure the insulation monitoring instrument and take

off the instrument.
