Symptom
The RUN
indicator for the
insulation
monitoring
instrument is
off.
The ALA
indicator for the
insulation
monitoring
instrument is
on.
The leakage
current sensor
indicator for a
branch is off.
Issue 02 (2022-08-10)
Possible Causes
● The PSU for the insulation
monitoring instrument is faulty.
● The upstream fuse for the PSU of
the insulation monitoring
instrument is faulty.
● The cables to the J2 terminals HM
+, HM–, and PE on the insulation
monitoring instrument are
reversely connected.
● The insulation between the positive
and negative buses and the ground
is abnormal.
● The sequence of wiring from the
insulation monitoring instrument
to the leakage current sensor is
incorrect.
● The leakage current sensor is
faulty.

Troubleshooting
● Replace the PSU
or its fuse.
● Connect the
cables in the
correct sequence.
● Check whether
the upstream
power supply,
downstream
loads, and input
and output cables
are damaged or
short-circuited to
the ground. If so,
replace the
cables.
● Connect the
cables in the
correct sequence.
● Replace the
leakage current
sensor.
