Connecting the light source (CLV-190, CLV-S190)
or the video system center (OTV-S190)
52
When the high flow insufflation unit is used in combination with an Olympus light
source (CLV-190 or CLV-S190), it can communicate and exchange fault
information, etc. with the video system center connected to the light source. The
exchanged information can be used in troubleshooting and repair of an
irregularity with the high flow insufflation unit.
Never connect a cable other than the optional
communication cable to the high flow insufflation unit.
Otherwise, the high flow insufflation unit cannot perform
appropriately and injury or equipment damage may result.
Refer to the instruction manual for the light Source (CLV-190,
CLV-S190)
Avoid applying excessive force to the communication cable.
Otherwise, wire disconnection or other failure may result.
When connecting three or more instruments including this
instrument (but excluding the medical control unit), the total
length of the communication cables should be no more than
18 meters. Communication error may occur if the total length
of the communication cables reaches 18 meters or more.
 Connecting the CLV-190
1.
Confirm that the light source is connected to the video system center as
described in the instructions for the connectable light source (CLV-190).
2.
Prepare the communication cable (MAJ-1872 or MAJ-1942 ore MAJ-1948).
3.
Connect the plug of the communication cable to LINK-OUT terminal on the
rear panel of the light source. After connection, secure each plug by pushing
it in while turning the screws on both sides of the plug (see Figure 3.13).
4.
Connect the plug of the communication cable to the LINK-IN terminal on the
rear panel of the high flow insufflation unit. After connection, secure each
plug by pushing it in while turning the screws on both sides of the plug (see
Figure 3.13).
