Three-thread
narrow rolled
edging
Use three-thread
narrow rolled
edging
for
a
strong
seam
or
a
decorative edge
finish on light
to
mediu
m-weight fabrics.
1.
Lower
the
stitch finger,
as
detailed
above.
2.
Tighten
the lower
looper tension adjuster (blue) about
3
revolutions clockwise (right),
to
about
3.5
on
the
numbered
scale.
When
the tension
is
properly
set,
the
edge
of
the fabric actually
rolls
to
the
underside
around
the
tiny
stitch
finger. The upper looper thread the
wraps
the
edge
of
the fabric. The lower looper
thread
no longer
forms
loops,
but
pulls
nearly
straight
on
the
underside
of the fabric.

on
page
41
indicates
suggested range
of
tension
nurnbers
for
three-thread
rolled
edging.
Note
on
this chart the specific
setting
for your
own
machine.
