To return
from
two-thread
to
three-thread
serging'
1.
Openthefrontcoverandturnhandwheel awayfromyoutobringtheneedletoitslowestposition.
2.
With your finger or
small
screwdr¡ver,
push
in
on
the
brass
screw
and
rotate it'clockwise
to
return the
subsidiary looper
to
its
"up"
position.

Place
the
upper looper thread back
in
any thread
guides
which
may
have become undone and'back
through the
eye
of
the
looper.
4.
Move
the thread
guide
switch
from the
red
"2"
to
the
blue
"3".

5.
Reset
the
tensions dials
for
three-thread serging.

chart on
page 41
)
6.
Be sure
all
threads
are under
the
back
of
the
presser
foot.
Make
a
few
stitches
to
start the thread
chain.

procedure

steps

2.
Replace
the
second needle
(left or right).
Rethread
the
second needle
thread (yellow
or
orange
color-
coded
thread
path).
3.
Be
sure
all
threads
are
under
the
back
of
the
presser
foot.
Make
a
few
stitches
to
start the thread
chain.
Push
and
turn.clockwise
