Removing/Installing Casters

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 12.6 on page 113.
Removing
1. Remove the mounting bolt, spacers (washers), and locknut that secures the caster to the fork.
2. Remove the caster from the fork.
Installing
1. Position the caster in the fork as shown.
2. Secure the caster to the fork with mounting bolt, spacers (washers), and locknut. Tighten securely.

Removing/Installing the Axle Mounting Bracket

Removing
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 12.7 on page 114.
1. Remove the rear wheels. Refer to the owner's manual, p/n 1154295.
2. Remove the two mounting screws, washers, and locknuts that secures the right axle mounting bracket, uniwasher, and
crossbrace tube to the base frame (Detail "A").
3. Remove the right axle mounting bracket from the base frame (Detail "A").
4. Remove the two mounting screws, washers, and locknuts that secures the left axle mounting bracket, uniwasher, and
crossbrace tube to the base frame (Detail "B").
NOTE: Solara 3G wheelchairs with vent tray option do not come equipped with the crossbrace tube located between axle brackets.
5. Remove the crossbrace tube (if equipped) and left axle mounting bracket (Detail "B").
