Remove/Install Flip Back Two Point Arms

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 5.3 on page 24.
Preparation
1. Remove the armrests. Refer to the owner's manual, p/n 1154295.
2. Perform one of the following:
• For chairs equipped with seat pan ‐ remove the seat pan from the wheelchair. Refer to After any adjustments, repair
or service and before use, make sure all attaching hardware is tightened securely ‐ otherwise injury or damage may
occur. on page 55.
• For chairs equipped with seating system ‐ remove the seating system from the wheelchair. Refer to the Seating
Systems owner's manual for installing/removing procedures.
Remove Rear and/or Front Arm Socket
1. Perform one of the following:
NOTE: Before removing, note position of the rear arm socket in back plate for proper reinstallation.
A. Rear Arm Socket
i. Remove the two mounting screws, washers, seat positioning strap (if applicable) and locknuts that secure the
rear arm socket and quick release pin to the backrest bracket.
ii. Remove rear arm socket from the wheelchair.
B. Front Arm Socket
i. Remove the mounting screw, washer, and locknut that secures the front arm socket to the seat rail.
ii. Remove the front arm socket from the seat rail.
Install Rear and/or Front Arm Socket
1. Perform one of the following:
A. Rear Arm Socket
i. Secure the rear arm socket, quick release pin, and seat positioning strap (if applicable) to the backrest bracket
with two mounting screws, washers, and locknuts. Tighten securely.
