Removing the Foot Operated Wheel Lock

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 13.1 on page 128.

1. Remove the 1 / inch mounting screw, spacer, washer, and locknut that secures the connecting link to the wheel lock

assembly (Detail "E").

2. Remove the / inch mounting screw, washers, and locknut that secures the connecting link to the footlock lever

assembly (Detail "E").
3. Remove the connecting link.

4. Remove the two 2 /

assembly and mounting block to the base frame (Detail "E").
5. Remove the wheel lock assembly, mounting block, and threaded tab.

6. Remove the two 1 /

7. Remove the / inch mounting screw that secures the footlock lever in place (Detail "A").

8. Remove the two 1 /
4
(Detail "A").
9. Remove the crossbrace, footlock lever assembly, and pivot footlock plate.
10. Repeat STESP 1‐6 for foot operated wheel lock on opposite side of wheelchair.

Installing/Removing the Hand Operated Wheel Lock

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 13.2.
Installing
1. Secure the wheel lock assembly and mounting block to the base frame with two 2
lock washers, and threaded tab. Tighten securely (Detail "E").
2. Repeat STEP 1 for remaining wheel lock assembly.
Removing

2. Repeat STEP 1 for remaining wheel lock assembly.
