Preset Tuning
Auto Tuning
POWER ON
The receiver has a memory for 30 preset stations. If the
frequencies of broadcasts are stored in this memory,
they can be tuned in by a simplified procedure.
Note:
If the power plug of the receiver is disconnected from
the wall outlet or the POWER
button on the front panel
is switched OFF, the memory will be cleared after about
one week.
i Auto Presetting
Only FM stations can be preset.
1. Press the AM or FM button.
. Press the MODE button so that the CH indicator goes
off.
. Press the UP or DOWN buttton for more than 1
second so that the AUTO indicator lights.
Tuning will start automatically and stop at a
broadcast station frequency with sufficient signal
strength.
. If the station where tuning stops is not the one you
want, press the UP or DOWN
button again.
POWER ON
Manual Tuning
Manual Tuning is generally used to tune to stations
broadcasting a signal that is too weak to be received by
Auto Tuning.
1. Press the AM or FM button.
2. Press the MODE button so that the CH indicator goes
off.
. Press the UP or DOWN button until the desired
station frequency is reached.
Each time the button is pressed, the frequency
changes by a step.

U.S.A./Canada/General Export Models
FM: 100 kHz steps
AM: 10 kHz steps
Europe Modeis
FM: 50 kHz steps
AM: 9 kHz steps
SE
1. Press the FM button.
. Press and hold down the MEMORY button for 5
seconds so that the MEMORY indicator flickers and
the auto scanning starts.
. The receiver will start scanning at the low end of the
frequency range and memorize the stations in from
CHO1 to CH30.
. To stop the auto presetting, press the UP or DOWN
button.
