The camcorder automatically brightens the backlight of the LCD monitor when you are recording a bright
subject outdoors, so that the LCD screen is easy to see.
Note: When you record a bright subject outdoors, the camcorder operating time will be less than when
recording indoors.
Note:
Even if you record outdoors, the LCD monitor backlight may not brighten, if you are aiming at a
dark subject.
Note:
While the battery charge indicator "
"Is flashing, the Active Screen function will not operate.
Adjusting the Electronic Viewfinder
The electronic viewfinder adjusts simply by piv-

oting it to a position where it is comfortable and

~ To replace the viewfinder, retract
the eye cup stem

or turn over the eye cup.
Eyepiece Adjustment:
To use the electronic viewfinder, grasp the knobs
on both sides of the eye cup stem and pull the eye
cup all the way, then turn the diopter control for
your optimum focus adjustment.
Since the eye cup has already been pulled out at the
factory, in present condition, only adjustment of
the diopter control is necessary.
Note:
Be sure fo pull out the eye cup ali the
way so that you can see the sublec? in the
viewfinder clearly.
Note:
Hold the knobs on both sides of the eye
cup stem fo pull out the eye cup.
Note:
The

can
be
retracted
when the camcorder is being carried.
