Safety instructions

- The electrical installation and connection should only be carried out
by a fully qualified electrical fitter who has been examined by the
local electricity supply company. The statutory regulations and the
connection conditions of the local electricity supply company must
be observed to the letter.
- On the customer side a cut-off device effective on all poles and with
a contact opening of at least 3 mm must be provided, e.g. fuse
switch-disconnectors which allow the appliance to be disconnected
from the mains when repair and installation work is being carried
out.
- The appliance must only be operated in connection with the
stipulated contactors (function and safety contactors). Refer to the
wiring diagram. Compare the number of the wiring diagram with the
number of the wiring diagram on the appliance identification plate.
- The appliance can be connected to an equipotential bonding
system. Connect in conformity with VDE 0100 T 410 or the local
regulations.
- Current and nominal voltage must correspond to the details on the
appliance identification plate.
- Do not bend or squash cables or damage them on any sharp edges.
- Lay the cables in such a way that they cannot come into contact
with hot parts.
- If the water hoses are too long after they have been connected, it
must be ensured that do cannot come into contact with any live
parts: To compensate for the excessive length only use the space
between the pan and the left wall of the appliance!
- The mains connection must be provided with a connection cable of
at least type NYM or H07RN-F.
- The appliance may only be connected through the rear wall if an
enclosed installation duct exists!
- The connection cable leading through the appliance must be fully
sheathed from the connection point up to the entrance to the
connector box!
- The appliance is intended for fixed connection; it is not permitted to
connect the appliance using plugs.
- Permissible pressure range for drinking water connections:
50–1000 kPa (0.5–10 bar).
- Air conditioning systems should only be planned and installed by
suitably qualified personnel.

The pressure vessel regulations in the amended version dated 21
April 1989 classifies these appliances in group I for which neither
an inspection prior to commissioning, a recurrent inspection nor
an inspection in special cases is prescribed. Moreover, the
installation and operation of these appliances do not require the
permission of the authorities responsible. A certificate on a
voluntary works inspection of the pressure vessel can be provided
on request.

Transport

Do not lift or move the appliance by the upper plate or the
underside edges at the side of the housing. Only take hold of the
appliance on the front and rear undersides of the housing.

Installation

Preconditions on the customer side
Check whether the dimensions and the position of the customer's
electric outlet corresponds to the specifications in the leaflet for the
version type, the brochure or the installation diagram.
The appliance must only be operated in connection with the
stipulated contactors (function and safety contactors). Refer to the
wiring diagram! Compare the number of the wiring diagram with
the number of the wiring diagram on the appliance identification
plate.
Permissible pressure range for drinking water connections:
50-1000 kPa (0.5-10 bar).
The connections can be carried out
- from below through the base of the appliance
- or from the back.
Connection should only be made through the rear wall when there
is an enclosed installation space!
In the rear wall of the appliance
circular holes have been provided for
connection. Use the handle of a
hammer to bring the circular plate into
a skew position and then, using a pair
of pliers, bend it backwards and
forwards until the circular plate breaks away.
If connecting the appliance from the rear, the site installation pipes
must not project into the appliance. If connecting the appliance from
below, the length of the pipe over the floor space must be less than
50 mm.
Installation on legs
At the installation site align the appliance horizontally on the height-
adjustable feet. To do this, rotate the legs studs.
Check all sides of the appliance using the spirit level set on the edges
of the top plate of the appliance.
Installation on customer pedestal
Unscrew the legs.
The dimensions of the customer pedestal must correspond to the
specifications in the leaflet for the version type, the installation diagram
or the brochure. If the appliance is being fitted into other kitchens, ask
the dealer or the manufacturer for the relevant literature.
Installation in groups or blocks
For installation in groups or blocks, the appliances must be connected
to each other by using suitable connection elements. This is in the
interests of hygiene. Take note of the respective instructions in the
leaflet for the version type, the brochure or the installation diagram. If
the appliance is being fitted into other kitchens, refer to the
corresponding brochures of the manufacturer for the necessary
accessories.
