- Take off the lower triple cla mp with the steering stem .
Remove the upper steering head bearing.
Main work
- Clean the bearing and sealing elements, check for damage , and grease.

Position the lower triple clamp with the steering stem . Mount the upper steering
head bearing.
- Check whether upper steering head seal

is correctly positioned.
Mount protective ring @ and 0 -ring

Position the upper triple clamp w ith the handlebar.
Mount screw

but do not tighten yet .
Secure wiring harness and clutch line with cable holder.
Position the voltage regu lator, and mount and tighten screws

Position the f ork legs .

are positioned toward the front.

The rebound damping is located in right f ork leg REB (red adjusting screw).
The compression damping is located in left f ork leg COM (white adjusting
screw).
Grooves are milled into the side of the upper end of the fork legs. The sec-
ond milled groove (from the top) must be flush w ith the top edge of the
upper triple clamp.
- Tighten screws
