After the engine case section has cooled , check that the bearings are firmly seated.

If the bearings are not firm ly seated after cooling, it is likely that they wil l
rotate in the engine case when warm. In this case, the engine case must be
renewed.
Position all bearing retainers. Mount and tighten the screws.

Blow compressed air through all oi l channels and check that they are clear.
Finishing work
Install the oil pressure regulator va lve.

Remove screw

Remove any remnants of sealing compound and clean the section of the engine
case thoroughly.
Warm the engine case section in an oven.

Knock the engi ne case section against a leve l wooden board. This will cause the
bearings to drop out of the beari ng seats.

Any bearings that remain in the engine case section must be removed using
a suitable tool.
Remove washer

Warm the engine case section again .

Insert the new col d bearings in the bearing seats of the heated section of the
engine case; if necessary, use a suitable press drift to push them al l the way in and
make them fl ush .
