Replacing an NT4K31 DS1 protection bridge card

Use this procedure to replace a DS1 protection bridge card in an access
bandwidth manager (ABM) shelf.

Removing the DS1 protection bridge card causes
protection to be inoperative for all DS1/VT mappers.

Lockout the protection bridge card from any possible protection switch
attempts:
