2. Move the hand throttle to the half open position.
3. Turn the starter key counterclockwise to the
"HEAT" position (2), Figure 24, and hold for
30 seconds.
4. Start the engine by turning the key further counter-
clockwise to the "HEAT-START" position (1).
5. If the engine fails to start after 25 seconds of crank-
ing, release the key and return it to the "HEAT"
position (2) for an additional 15 seconds. Turn
the key back to the "HEAT-START" position
(1) to start the engine.
6. After the engine starts, release the key. Turn the
key to the "ON" position (4) to energize the
warning lights.
