Keyless unlocking of the boot lid*
With keyless locking and unlocking, it is suffi-
cient to touch the touch-sensitive surface on the
boot lid handle to unlock the boot lid.
NOTE
One of the car's remote control keys must be
within range behind the car for unlocking to
work.
The boot lid is held closed by an electrical lock.
To open:
1. Press gently on the rubberised pressure
plate beneath the boot lid handle.
> The lock is released.

Only in cars equipped with keyless locking and unlocking*.
2. Lift by the outside handle in order to open
the boot lid.
IMPORTANT
Minimal force is required to release the
boot lid's lock - just gently press the rub-
berised panel.
Do not place the lift force on the rubber
panel when opening the boot lid - lift the
handle. Using too much force may damage
the electrical contacts on the rubber panel.
It is also possible to open the boot lid hands-free
with a foot movement under the rear bumper, see
separate section.
WARNING
Do not drive with an open boot lid! Toxic
exhaust fumes could be drawn into the car
through the cargo area.
