Connecting with the Yale Home App The Smart Latch 2 Smart Deadlatch comes with the Yale Home App module to allow users to connect your lock with the Yale Home App to achieve a smart locking solution. Once you insert the Yale Home App module and batteries, the lock will be ready to pair with the Yale Home App.
Download the Yale Home App: Step 1: Download the Yale Home App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Step 2: Scan the below QR code for more information on how to use the Yale Home App App and product information.
Set a User Code To set a user code, please follow Yale Home App Guide if you connected module. Or refer to the below section if you decide not connect with the Yale Home App module. The lock can hold up to 20 unique user codes, each one has a slot in the locks memory from 1 to 20. If a new code is written to a slot that already holds a code it will overwrite it.
Delete a User Code To delete a user code, please follow Yale Home App Guide if you connected the Yale Home App module. Or refer to below section if you decide not connect with the Yale Home App module. To discontinue a user’s access their code will need to be deleted. Before removing a user code please refer to the User Credential Log at the back of this guide to determine the slot number of the code desired for deletion.

Adding a Key Tag Key Tag The lock can hold up to 20 Key Tags, each one has a slot in the locks memory from 1 to 20. If you try to add a Tag to a slot that already holds one it will sound an error beep. It will also sound an error beep if you try to add a Tag that has already been added.
Delete a Key Tag Key Tag To delete a keytag, please follow Yale Home App Guide if you connected the Yale Home App module. Or refer to below section if you decide not connect with the Yale Home App module.
The relock time is the amount of time it takes for the lock to relock after it has been unlocked with a correct credential (PIN, KeyTag). The default is 7 seconds. Note: If the Yale Home App is used as credential to unlock the door, then the re-lock time will be always 7 seconds. Step...
Auto-lock On/Off Auto-lock On/Off can only be changed via the Yale Home App once connected to the App. The lock can be changed between two modes. With auto-lock mode ON the lock will automatically re-lock after the configured time. With auto-lock mode OFF the lock will not re-lock until you touch the Keypad with the palm of your hand.
The volume can be adjusted from both the Yale Home App and keypad. The setting is automatically synchronised if the setting is changed on either App or keypad. Please refer to Yale Home App Guide to adjust volume from App and refer to below section for adjusting volume from keypad.
Security Features Intrusion Alarm Damage Alarm: If the lock is attacked by attempting to remove the lock from the door on the outside, an 80dB alarm will sound.
Security Features Incorrect PIN Lockout For security, if the wrong PIN is entered 5 consecutive times the lock will lockout for 3 minutes. This is indicated by the numbers [3] on the keypad flashing. To Release Lockout Present valid Key Tag or unlock via the App.
