To enter pairing mode on the Yale Lock SL:
1. Ensure the lock is powered on and the Z-Wave controller (e.g., SmartThings hub) is nearby. 2. Enter the master PIN code, then press the # key. 3. Press the 7 key, then the # key to access lock settings. 4. Press the 1 key, then the # key to select "JOIN network."
The lock will enter inclusion (pairing) mode and send a signal to connect with the controller. If only the “LEAVE network” option is available, perform the LEAVE process first, then repeat the steps above. If the issue persists, remove the lock from the associated app before retrying.
