By connecting an audio player such as smartphone or portable music player to the [AUX IN] jack via an audio cable, you
can listen to the sound played on the connected audio player through this instrument. In the Quiet mode (page 18), the
sound input to the [AUX IN] jack can be heard from the headphones, while in the TransAcoustic mode (page 20) or Layer
mode (page 21), the sound is output from the soundboard.
NOTICE
• To avoid damage to the devices, first turn on the power to the external device(s), and then to the instrument. When turning off
the power, first turn off the power to the instrument, and then to the external device(s).
• Do not route the output from the AUX OUT jacks to the AUX IN jack. If you make this connection, the signal input at the [AUX
IN] jack is output from the AUX OUT jacks. These connections could result in a feedback loop that will make normal
performance impossible, and may even damage the equipment.

NOTE
• Use audio cables and adaptor plugs having no (zero) resistance.
• This instrument cuts unwanted noise from the input sound via the [AUX IN] jack. However, this may result in wanted sounds also being
cut, such as the soft decay sound of a piano. To avoid this, set the AUX IN Noise Gate function to off in Function F8.2 (page 52).
