Ten-Second Shutdown
If the Mesa 4 has been locked up for at least five minutes,
disconnect the Mesa 4 from all external power, including
an AC wall charger, a USB-C cable, or a dock. Force the
hardware to shut down by holding the power button for 10
seconds. To power on the tablet, press the power button.
Twenty-Second Shutdown
If the Mesa 4 has been locked up for at least five minutes
and doesn't respond to the 10-second shutdown, hold the
power button down for 20 seconds. The removable and
internal batteries are electrically disconnected from the
tablet, causing a complete shut down. To power on the
tablet and connect the batteries, plug in the tablet with
the AC wall charger or USB-C cable and press the power
button.
!
CAUTION: Holding the power button down for 10 or 20
seconds for a forced disconnect is recommended only
as a last resort. Forcing the power off loses unsaved data
and may corrupt active data transfers to storage.
