If the total playing time of both sides of the tape is specified,
chapters/tracks are automatically programmed for both sides
of the tape.
Compu Program Edit
The player selects the chapters/tracks so that their total
playing time becomes the specified playing time as near as
possible.

Chapters/tracks are selected within the designated time,
starting from the first track.
Auto Program Edit
1 Press EDIT twice.
e With LD discs, after playback is performed, press EDIT.
e When EDIT is pressed during playback, the player enters
pause mode.
2 Set the total playing time of both sides of the tape
in minutes with the digit buttons (0-9).

Press two digit buttons rapidly. For example, to enter 46
minutes, press the [4 ] button and [6 ] button sequentially.
3 Press PLAY m.
Program playback starts.

When playback of the first program is completed, the player
enters pause mode. To play another program, press PLAY
>.
When
all programs have been played, the player enters
stop mode.
To clear program contents:
Press CLEAR on the remote control unit.
To specify the first track to be programmed:
Only the track to be played first can be specified.

Press EDIT.
2 Select the desired track by pressing SKIP é<¢ or PP.

Set the playing time with the digit buttons.
If the
specified
time
is too
short for any
track
to be
programmed:
Programming cannot be performed.
NOTES:
e
With discs contained 33 tracks or more, programming may not
be correctly performed.
e
With Compu Program Edit function, the programmed total playing
time is not occasionally close to the specified time compared
with Auto Program Edit.

With LD discs, chapter No. 0 will not be programmed.
e
With LD discs,
when
chapter No.
1 is programmed,
the
programmed total playing time may slightly differ from the actual
calculation. This is not a malfunction.
