TYPES OF DISCS THAT CAN BE PLAYED WITH THIS UNIT
This unit is a CD VIDEO SYSTEM (*1) compatible player which can play CDs, CDV discs, and LDs.
The five disc types listed in the table below can be played with this unit.

Chapter number
Chapter numbers are used to indicate the boundaries of
the sections on a disc, similar to the 'chapters' in a book.
if chapter numbers are recorded on a disc, it is so indicated
on the jacket of the disc, etc. Chapter numbers can be
used to search for desired chapters (Chapter Search).
Frame number
Frame numbers are the numbers assigned to each picture
frame ona CAV (standard play) disc. Frame numbers can
be used to search for desired frames (Frame Search).
Time number
Time numbers indicate the time elapsed from the beginning
of a CLV (extended play) disc. Time numbers can be used
to search for desired scenes (Time Search).

CDV/CD GLOSSARY
Track number
Track numbers indicate the boundaries of the sections, or
"tracks", on a disc. Track numbers are assigned consistently
throughout the audio part and video part of a CDV disc.
Track numbers can be used to search for desired tracks
(Track Search).
TOC (*2)
Every CD/CDV-type disc is provided with a section called
TOC (Table Of Contents) at the beginning of the disc. The
TOC section is just like the table of contents of 4 book, and
contains information on the contents (number of tracks,
playing time, etc.) of the disc.
e Some LD discs are also provided with a TOC section.
