TROUBLESHOOTING
Incorrect operations are often for trouble and malfunctions. If you think that there is something wrong with this component,
check the points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Inspect the other components and electrical
appliances being used. If the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising the checks listed below, ask your nearest
PIONEER authorized service center or your dealer to carry out repair work.
1. Disc table is not ejected when
Power cord is not properly plugged into AC wall | @
Plug in power cord.
OPEN/CLOSE is pressed.

Power switch is not turned on.
e@ Turn on power switch.
Disc is dirty.
e@ The disc is not properly set on the disc table.
Clean disc.
Set the disc properly.
. Disc table comes out.
Moisture has condensed on parts in the player.
e
Remove disc andlet player stand for 1 to
2 hours until it is dry.
Disc is warped.
e
Try to alleviate the warp.
(Refer to
Symptom 7, remedy column.)
e@ The CONTROL
IN terminal on the rear panel is
connected to pioneer projection monitor or AV
contro! center.
e
Batteries are weak.
e@ There is an obstacle between the player and the
remote control unit.
e
Remote control unit is not in a good location for
transmission.
Aim the remote
control unit at the
projection monitor or AV control center.
. Remote control does not work.
e
Replace batteries.
e@ Remove the obstacle or shift the remote
control position.
e
Operate the remote control unit in front
of the player.
Move the TV and the player further
apart, of cover the remote sensor of the
TV during disc playback.
Some TV sets have remote control functions that
operate improperly in response to the remote control
unit of the player.
. Operation of the remote contro!
unit causes the TV to operate
improperly.
Abnormal functioning of this unit may be caused by lightning,
static electricity, or other external interference. To restore
normal operation, turn the power off and then on again, or
unplug the AC power cord and then plug it in again.
