The following items are included in the SM-02
• (1) SM-02 microphone / speaker control unit
• (1) Ceiling or table microphone
• (1) Power Supply
• (1) Wall plate with a 15-pin female (DB-15) connector and wiring blocks
• (1) Eight-foot cable to connect between the control unit and the wall plate
• (1) Dual 6-foot shielded cable with phono (RCA) plugs on each end, or cables for
the codec specified in the order
• Ceiling microphone grommet(s)
The following items are included in ceiling component cartons:
• (2) Ceiling speaker modules as ordered – each assembled speaker module consists
of an enclosure and a 4" speaker mounted on a white torsion mount grille.
• Microphones – Additional ceiling or table microphones as required in the order
will be packaged between the speakers

The
Soundman
system is designed for three basic functions:
1. Provides improved audio over the standard hardware that ships with
videoconferencing group systems
2. Enables all participants to be heard in larger rooms
3. Provides a virtually invisible audio system when using CTG ceiling microphones
and speakers
The SM-02 is a single box microphone / speaker amplification system designed for
teleconferencing applications. The

Microphones and speakers are proprietary to the SM-02 control unit. Microphones are
designed specifically for teleconferencing and are normally placed up to 10 feet from the
speaking individual. The ceiling speakers are designed to disburse the far end audio
source evenly throughout the room.
An installed system allows users to conduct meetings without restricting their actions to
accommodate the audio system. Ceiling microphones allow furniture to be moved about
freely without having to relocate cables or reconnect.
