- Do not use the coil if the cable connecting it to the generator shows obvious sign of wear or
damage.
- The use of the coil under heavy blankets limits heat dispersion and can lead to overheating of the
coil surface; in case of excessive overheating, discover the coil. In any case, the generator and the
power supply must not be covered during the operation, to allow its aeration.
- Before proceeding with cleaning the coil ensure that the appliance is switched off and disconnected
from the power supply. The coil can be cleaned using neutral detergents, never use aggressive
detergents or solvents for cleaning it. Regularly disinfect the coil, particularly in the case of
prolonged use or direct contact with the skin.
- The wear of the coil coating due to the use does not affect the effectiveness of the therapy. In case
of loss of integrity of the coating, the coil must be replaced.

Treatment times

The user should perform the treatment by the number of days specified by the doctor who prescribed
the therapy.
BIOSTIM SPT treatment time is of 6/8 hours a day.
Daily therapy should preferably all be in one session; if you prefer to split daily therapy time into several
parts, continuous periods should be of no less than 2 hours. As there are no adverse side effects,
therapy can also be carried out during sleeping hours.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

BIOSTIM SPT can detect and signal any conditions preventing correct operation. The table describes
the system messages and actions to restore correct operation.

Check if:
- the generator is connected to the power supply,
- the power supply is connected to the main,
- the generator is on.
- The coil is incorrectly connected to the
generator connector.
- If, after switching the device off and on again,
the coil is correctly connected to the generator,
but the failure continues, the coil is faulty and
needs to be replaced.
- External interference or short interruptions in
the mains power supply could cause the
suspension of the treatment, signaled by the
device as described here on the side. In this
case, switch the device off and on again to
restore normal operation.
