Relieving Hydraulic Pressure from the Hydraulic Hoses
After placing both Frames on a Locking Position, customers occasionally fail to hold down the Down
Button for an extra five seconds to relieve the Hydraulic Pressure in the Hoses. Failure to do so makes
it extremely difficult to reconnect the Hydraulic Hoses after they have been disconnected.
Important
WARNING
How to release Hydraulic Pressure from the Hydraulic Hoses:
1. Release the air pressure from the Pneumatic Spring by pressing the pin on the Shrader Valve.
2. Reconnect the Hydraulic Hoses at the Quick-Disconnect Fittings.
3. Press Up on the Pendant Control to raise the Frames up and off the Locking Position.
4. Completely lower the Lift back to the ground.
5. Re-pressurize the Pneumatic Spring to 40-50 psi.
Relieving pressure when the short hose is impossible to connect to:
1. With the vehicle and frames lowered all the way to the ground.
2. Place a rag or catch container under the bleed screws.
3. Loosen the bleed screws to relieve the pressure on one Frame.
4. Retighten the Bleed Screw.
5. Repeat the process on the remaining frame.
6. Clean and remove any spilled hydraulic fluid.
7. Repeat the Bleeding procedure described in the manual's setup section before using the
QuickJack.
Relieving pressure when the long hose is disconnected from the Power Unit:
1. With the vehicle and frames lowered all the way to the ground.
2. Loosen the vent cap on top of the reservoir.
3. Attempt to connect the long hose.
4. If not successful, attempt to connect the long hose while pressing and holding the down button.
5. If not successful, unplug the Power Unit from power.
6. Place rags or a catch container under the Male Quick-Connect fittings on the Power unit.
7. Carefully loosen the fittings until Fluid is released.
8. Remove the fittings.
9. Clean the Ports and the fittings.
10. Install the Male Quick-Connect fittings back on the Power Unit.
11. Repeat the Bleeding procedure described in the manual's setup section before using the
QuickJack.
QuickJack™ Portable Car Jack
Do not press on the Quick-Connects' plunger or receptacle in an effort to release the
pressure, Hydraulic Fluid will spray out from the fitting under pressure.
Hydraulic Fluid under pressure is dangerous. You must always wear OSHA-
approved (publication 3151) Personal Protective Equipment when handling
hydraulic components: eye protection and leather gloves are mandatory.
