The new audio transmit board (9030-7725-500), if used with the new controller board (9030-7725-000) has digital control for
compression setting and Mic gain setting through the master volume encoder of the KP-12.
By inspecting the audio transit board, the following pots, jumpers and connectors are identified:
R16 and R142 are attenuation pots for the Matrix Out and Preamp Out, respectively. These pots determine the upper limit
1.
for the mic gain.
R12 is used for threshold settings. It determines at what level the mic signal should be compressed. With the current
2.
setting, any signal above -50dB is compressed to a 2:1 ratio.
R13 is used for compressing settings. With this pot any compression ratio can be set between a 1:1 ratio (no compression,
3.
clockwise) and infinity:1 (limiter, counter-clockwise).
R14 is for mic gain. This pot adds gain/attenuation to the mic signal.
4.
The J10 connector is the digital connection for the digital control.
