Troubleshooting for Paper Feeding Problems

Problems related to paper feeding are end user recoverable if following the User Check items.
If the same problem occurs again, follow each procedure in the order of the number described
in the Step column in the tables below.
4.2.1

No paper feeding from paper tray 1

< User Check >
- Check if the paper is loaded into the paper tray correctly.
- Check that too much paper is not loaded in the paper tray.
- Turn back the paper loaded in the paper tray or change the orientation of the paper by 180°.
- Check if the thickness of the paper is 60 to 105 g/m
- Check whether the MP tray or LT paper tray unit is specified for the paper feeding tray.
- Fan the stack of paper well and reinsert the papers into the paper tray.
- When the LT paper tray unit is available, check if the LT paper tray unit is closed correctly.
- Clean the T1 paper pick-up roller.

Reconnect the main motor harness.
Install the T1 roller holder ASSY correctly.

Replace the T1 paper feed sensor PCB
ASSY.
Replace the lift gear 46.
Replace the main drive unit.
Replace the process drive unit.
Replace the paper feed unit.
Replace the fuser unit.
Replace the main PCB ASSY.
