To see this in action, navigate to the Waveform tab on the Track screen, and select a track with audio
from the pulldown menu at the left.
Using the Region tool, click and drag a selection of audio with the mouse.
Select the Level Edit Op from the Edit Operation pulldown menu. You will notice that it has one slider.
Set the Gain slider to something extreme like 15db of boost and press DONE. Looking at your
selection now, the waveform display should show a much louder signal. DO NOT PUSH PLAY. If the
level of your audio was already rather loud, you should see a bunch of digital clip, as in our example:
