After selecting the Fade dialog and a linear fade in and fade out, the resulting fade looks like this:
Thus the name crossfade . If you push PLAY now, you will hear a smooth transition from one file to
the next. The effect is more pronounced the more different the two files are from each other, and the
longer the fade actually lasts. Long fades are usually reserved for the creation of an effect, as they are
quite obvious. If you are attempting to create a crossfade that is invisible — that can t be heard — try
using shorter fade times to start out.
