Side-Opening Envelopes
Load envelopes with the flaps closed. Place the print side facing up, and the flaps come at the right
when you face towards the machine.
Top-Opening Envelopes
Load envelopes with the side to be printed facing up.
Note
When making prints, set the orientation of the envelope and printing direction from [Paper Settings
Wizard] of the print driver. For more information, refer to the help of the print driver.
When using 162 x 229 mm size envelopes and make printing continuously, the envelope may be pushed
out from the top output tray. Take the already-printed envelope away before starting the next print job.
Load envelopes with the flaps open so that the bottom edge (side without a flap) is pulled in first to
the machine.
Loading the Long Paper
You can print on the long paper with the length within 520 mm from the bypass tray.

When long paper jams, refer to "Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller of the Bypass Tray" (P.146) and clean the
paper feed roller.
Guideline for Printing on the Long Paper
Load the long paper on the bypass tray one by one.
When printing on the long paper, support the loaded paper with your hand to prevent it from
falling out of the bypass tray.
Printing on both side is not supported for long paper printing.
When you print on long paper, image quality may be poor.
Support the paper output with your hand to prevent it from falling out of the bypass tray.
