ating instructions for the eBike battery from the system
generation the smart system).
– The speed sensor is connected properly (see operating
instructions for the drive unit from the system genera-
tion the smart system).
Operating unit power supply (System

ing unit battery is powered and charged.
Please contact your bicycle dealer if the internal battery of
the operating unit is defective.

To change the coin cell, remove the operating unit Mini Re-
mote/Mini Remote Dropbar from the handlebars. Remove
the rubber insert (9). Remove the used coin cell and insert a
new one of type CR1620 into the battery holder. Close the
battery compartment by the rubber insert (9). Check that
the rubber insert (9) is correctly inserted to ensure the bat-
tery compartment is fully sealed. The LED indicator light (3)
will flash green to indicate that the coin cell has been inser-
ted correctly. Then secure the Mini Remote/Mini Remote
Dropbar operating unit onto the handlebars.
Note: Carefully tighten the fastening screw (7) (0.6 Nm).
Note: The connection to the System Controller is not inter-
rupted when the coin cell is changed.
You can obtain the coin cells recommended by Bosch from
your bicycle dealer.
Switching the eBike On and Off
To switch on the eBike, briefly press the on/off button (12).
After the starting animation, the state of charge of the eBike
battery is displayed in colour with the battery charge indic-
ator (13) and the set assistance level with the (10) display.
The eBike is ready to ride.
The display brightness is controlled by the ambient light
sensor (11). Therefore, do not cover the ambient light
sensor (11).
The drive is activated as soon as you start pedalling (except
at assistance level OFF). The drive power varies depending
on the assistance level set.
As soon as you stop pedalling when in normal operation, or
as soon as you have reached a speed of 25/45 km/h, the
drive switches off the assistance. The drive is automatically
reactivated as soon you start pedalling again and the speed
is below 25/45 km/h.
To switch off the eBike, press the on/off button (12) briefly
(< 3 s). The battery charge indicator of the eBike bat-
tery (13) and the assistance level LED (10) go out.
If no power is drawn from the drive for about 10 minutes
(e.g. because the eBike is not moving) and no button is
pressed, the eBike will switch off automatically.
