4.6 Export

4.6.1. Manual Export
Users can easily archive video while viewing the video playback.
1)
In Live mode, click the EXPORT icon in the menu bar to open the export menu.
2) In playback mode, press the QUICK export icon in the menu bar. Pressing it once will
indicate the start time for the backup file. Click the icon again to indicate the end time for
the backup clip. The backup menu screen will appear.
3) Connect an appropriate USB memory drive and press SCAN to recognize it before
starting the backup process.
4) Adjust the following options as needed:
CAMERA: Select the camera channels to be included in the exported file. Select 'ALL' to
include all camera channels.
FROM: Set the start time of the exported video.
TO: Set the end time of the exported video.
DEVICE: Click [SCAN] to detect the connected USB memory stick. The USB device must
be using FAT32 format.
FILE FORMAT: The exported video clip will be saved in .SSF file type and can only be
viewed using the DW Backup Viewer tool or with a media player that supports SSF format.
FILE SIZE: Click the [ESTIMATE] button to calculate the estimated file size. If the file is too
large, reduce the number of camera channels or the length of the video footage to reduce
the size.
ADD VIEWER: Enable this setting include the Backup Viewer with the archived file, which
can be used to view the exported SSF video file on a PC.
PASSWORD: Add a password to protect the file if needed. The password will need to be
entered to view the file on a PC.
5) Click [START] to start the backup process. A progress bar will appear on the screen. Click
the [CANCEL] button to abort the export process. DO NOT remove the USB until the file
export has been completed.
A user, who is not an ADMIN user, can access the Export menu only if their user account

has both the Export function and menu access authorization enabled by the system
administrator.
