Previewing
Previewing on a TV
screen
Available in w mode
You can connect the camera to a TV to enjoy
preview with several people.
Preparation
1
Make sure each device to be connected
is powered off.

Open the jack cover on the camera (see
page 2).

Connect the camera to your TV (or VCR)
with the supplied A/V cable, as shown
below.

AV-IN
A/V cable (supplied)
: The arrow shows the signal flow.

Turn on the TV and set it to the "AV" or
"VIDEO" channel. (See the operation
manual of your TV.)
• When connecting to a TV via a VCR, turn
on the VCR and set it to the "AV" or
"LINE" input channel. Operate the TV as
you normally do to view the signal from
the VCR. (See the operation manuals of
your TV and VCR.)

Set the Mode Dial to "w", then power
on the camera.

Press the MENU button until the menu
screen appears.
3
Press l or m to select "~", then
press the SET button.
4
Press l or m to select "VIDEO OUT",
then press the SET button.

Press l or m to select the TV system
in your location, then press the SET
button.

Press the MENU button to turn off the
menu screen.

Begin preview (see page 17 or 18).

• Close the jack cover after use.
