Inserting and Removing
a Card
You can use an SD Memory Card for storing
images.
Inserting

Make sure that the power is off.

Open the card slot cover in the direction
of arrow.

Make sure the SD Memory Card's write-
protect switch is in the unlocked position.
Then insert the card into the slot as
shown below, and push it fully.

Removing
Perform steps 1 and 2 in "Inserting", then
push the card and release your finger slowly
(1). Then pull the card straight out (2) as
shown below.
Notes:
• The supplied card is preformatted for immediate
use.
• See page 60 for more information on the cards
intended for use with this camera.
• Do not remove the card from the camera
while recording data on the card (S indicator
blinks during recording). This may delete the
recorded image or damage the card.
About the write protect switch
SD Memory Cards have a write protect switch.
When the switch is set to the locked position,
you cannot record/delete data or format the
card. Set it to the unlocked position to record/
delete data or format the card.
