7. Replacing twine - figure 7

Stop engine.
Press each side of twine housing. Remove lid.
Remove roll by pulling. Allow spring (B) to remain on spool. Remove any twine residue.
Take 3-4 m of twine (2.4 mm) and double it up.
Insert both ends into the 2 holes on the roll. Wind twine onto roll in direction of arrow.
Avoid twisting twine. When twine is fully on roll, cut and insert the two cut ends through the
guide holes. NEVER OVERFILL THE REEL!
Assemble twine housing in reverse order, starting with spring. Place twine in twine housing
holes.
Fit cover. Check cover is secure.
Always ensure trimmer head is secured tightly.

8. Fuel

This product has a 2-stroke engine which needs 2-stroke lubricating oil mixed with
-
gasoline.
Always use unleaded gasoline (minimum octane 95)
-
Never use pre-mixed gasoline from gas stations intended for scooters, motorbikes
-
etc.
Always follow the oil manufacturer's instructions for mix ratio (see back of flask).
-
Use an approved gas can to mix gasoline and oil.
-
Use an approved 2-stroke oil for air-cooled engines, chain saws, trimmers and the
-
like. (Do not use outboard- or car lubricating oils). Mix in small amounts.
Texas recommends Texas Motex 2TX at a mix ration of 2%. This is equivalent to
-
0.1 L
2-stroke oil mixed with 5 L gasoline. If using any other oil, ratio should be 4%.
Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Mix oil and gasoline thoroughly and shake the can before filling.

NEVER use a gasoline mixture more than 90 days old, as this can cause starting
-
problems. Never keep the same gasoline mix in the tank for more than 30 days.
Always drain tank prior to long-term storage.
