10.0 Storing
To
avoid
combustion
or
misfire
due
to
contact
with high-temperature components, the generator must be
allowed to cool before packaging and storage.
If long-term storage is planned, please make sure the
storage area is clean and dry.
1. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank. Clean the fuel filter, O-
ring seal and precipitation cup after the assembly. Unscrew
the carburettor drain bolt and allow the remaining fuel to
drain entirely before replacing the drain bolt.
In ordinary circumstances, gasoline is flammable and
explosive. Please discharge in well-ventilated conditions
with the engine stopped. Keep away from flames, sparks
or any other sources of fire.
2. Unscrew the dipstick and Oil drain bolt on the crankcase,
drain the oil from the crankcase into a suitable container.
Replace the drain bolt and add new oil to the upper limit.
Replace the dipstick.
3. Remove the spark plug and pour a tablespoon of clean
engine oil into the combustion chamber. Pull the starter
handle slowly, turning the crankshaft several times to
distribute the oil. Reinstall the spark plug.
4. Gently pull the starter handle until resistance is felt, this
leaves the inlet and exhaust ports close.
5. Place the generator set in a clean and dry area
