3. If the generator is not being used for long periods, please
fully charge the battery before disconnecting the negative
pole of the battery connection. Store the unit in a dry and
cool place. The battery self-discharge is affected by the
ambient temperature and humidity. High temperature and
high humidity will accelerate the battery discharge time. To
avoid irreversible capacity loss, the battery should be
checked and re-charged every month to keep the battery
power above the recommended 60% level
4. If the battery fails to charge, it may be exhausted or
damaged, please check and replace if necessary.
The generator can still be started in the following two ways
when the battery is depleted or damaged as follows:
1. External DC12v Power Supply to start:
a. Connect an external DC12v power supply or 12v Battery
to the DC12v output socket on the control panel.
As shown in the figure overleaf. Connect an external DC12v
power supply or 12v battery to the DC12v output socket or
terminal on the control panel. Normal hand-pull manual start
can then be used to start the generator. This method
provides power to the generator control system allowing the
operator to start the generator.
Please note: The remote fob and electric start function
must not be used at this time to avoid causing damage
to the electrical system.
