Upgrading with License Keys

When you want to upgrade your library—for example, to increase the number of active
slots—you purchase a license key from Spectra Logic. To begin using the upgrade, you
must enter the license key.
1. If not already logged in, log in to the RLC as Admin.
2. Select Configuration > License Key. The License Key screen appears
(Figure 4-10).

3. Enter the slot upgrade key code in the Add new License Key field.
4. Select Submit.
5. In the pop-up window that asks Are you sure?, select OK.
6. In the pop-up window that tells you that the key was successfully added—but
that the library needs to reboot to complete the upgrade—select OK.
7. In the RLC, select Service > Reboot. The Library Reboot screen appears.
8. Select Reboot, and in the pop-up window that asks Are you sure?, select OK.
The library reboots, losing its connection to the RLC. You will have to log in
again to perform further RLC operations.
