DATABASE BACKUP AND RESTORE

You can backup and preserve all settings and records currently confi gured to the SAMS Pro, and preserved data can be
used to restore SAMS Pro confi guration.
1. From the upper menu bar, select [Tool] > [Database Backup and Restore].
2. Select the [Database Backup/Restore] tab.
3. Specify the [Backup File Path] to save the backup fi les in [Manual Database Backup].
(Used to backup fi les manually.)
4. Provide the [Backup File Name] for the fi les to backup in [Manual Database Backup]. (Used to backup fi les
manually.)
5. Click [Backup]. (Used to backup fi les manually.)
6. Specify the backup frequency in [Scheduled Database Backup]. (Used to backup fi les automatically.)
7. Provide the [Schedule Operation Time] in [Scheduled Database Backup]. (Used to backup fi les automatically.)
8. Click [Generation] in [Scheduled Database Backup]. (Used to backup fi les automatically.)
9. Select a fi le to restore in [Select Backup File] from [Database Restore]. (Used to restore a database.)
10. Click [Restore] in [Database Restore] to start restoring the selected database. (Used to restore a database.)

The access control data will be saved in the SQL Server 2008 R2 Express database. To prevent data loss, use this
tool or the tool provided by SQL Server 2008 R2 Express to create a backup fi le for the database. Backup of a
database includes all records of existing data in the database. You can use this page to backup and restore data, or
specify the auto backup schedule. In this page, you can also delete unnecessary information in the database. Auto
Backup function can be implemented only with a retail version of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. (Sold Separately)
