Adjusting the spring preload of the shock absorber

Caution
Risk of injury Parts of the shock absorber will move around if the shock absorber is detached incor-
rectly.
The shock absorber is filled with highly compressed nitrogen.
Please follow the description provided. (Your authorized Husqvarna Motorcycles workshop will be
glad to help.)

Note the current adjustment before changing the spring preload -–e.g. measure the spring length.
Preparatory work
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. (
Remove the shock absorber.
After removing the shock absorber, clean it thoroughly.
Main work
Loosen screw
Turn adjusting ring

If the spring cannot be fully released, the spring must
be removed to accurately measure the spring length.
Measure the total spring length while the spring is not under
tension.
