Action
Place the new pump assembly into the chassis so that the vacuum pump manifold is
on the right (when viewing the back of the chassis) or on the left when viewing the
front of the chassis).
Lay the chassis down so that you can access the bottom of the chassis.
Clean screws and apply Vibra-Tite to each of the four 8-32 x 1/4screws, insert, then
tighten.
Torque: 19 in lbs.
Bit Size: #2 Phillips head
Stand the chassis on its bottom, Position the chassis so that you can view the back of
the chassis to view the vacuum pump assembly and tubing.
On the right side of the chassis back, connect the end of the white tube coming from
the connector panel to the top of the pump assembly.
Note: Take precautions not to crack or otherwise damage the white tubing.
Connect one end of the white tubing removed from the chassis to the vacuum pump
on the left side of the chassis.
Turn the chassis so that you face the chassis front.
Reconnect the end of the white tube coming from the vacuum pump on the opposite
side to the side of the vacuum pump manifold.
On the left side of the chassis, secure the white tubes with a tie wrap.
Note: Take precautions not to crack or otherwise damage the white tubing.
On the left side of the chassis front, disconnect the end of the white tube connected to
the top of the vacuum pump manifold.
Note: Take precautions not to crack or otherwise damage the white tubing.
On the right of the chassis front, reconnect the end of the white tube connected to the
top of vacuum pump.
Note: Take precautions not to crack or otherwise damage the white tubing.
Reconnect the clear tubing from the brass barb of the 2-way valve (near the center of
the chassis to the black barb of the manifold.
Note: Take precautions not to crack or otherwise damage the clear tubing.
Reconnect the vacuum pump connector cable bundle to the SAM board (observe
proper polarity).
Reconnect the wires connecting the SAM board to the 2-way valve (observe proper
polarity).
Position the SAM board on the aspirator module making sure to mate the J1 PIM
connector to the J1 SAM connector.
