Problem
The compressor is
switching on more
frequently and for
longer periods of time.
The temperature in the
appliance is too low.
Possible cause and remedy
The ventilation gaps and ventilation grille are covered
or have become too dusty.
 Do not block the ventilation gaps and ventilation
grille.
 Clean the dust from the ventilation gaps and
ventilation grille on a regular basis.
The appliance door has been opened too frequently,
or a large amount of fresh food has been placed in
the appliance for freezing at the same time.
 Only open the door when necessary and for as
short a time as possible.
After a while the temperature will return to normal by
itself.
The door is not properly closed. A thick layer of ice
may have formed in the freezer section.
 Close the appliance door.
After a while the temperature will return to normal by
itself.
If a thick layer of ice has formed, it will decrease the
cooling performance and increase the energy
consumption.
 Defrost the appliance and clean it.
The ambient room temperature is too high. The
higher the room temperature, the longer the
compressor will run.
 See "Installation – Location".
The temperature setting is too low.
 Correct the temperature setting.
The SuperFreeze function is still switched on.
 To save energy, you can switch SuperFreeze off
early yourself.
