The product does not open or does not
open fully
The product is leaking downstream (does
not close or does not close fully)
The product is leaking between actuator
and valve body
Valve body connection to piping leaking

Troubleshooting
Remove the actuator, check the dia-
phragm mounting, replace the shut-off
diaphragm if necessary
Replace the actuator
Operate the product with operating pres-
sure specified in datasheet
Remove the actuator, remove foreign
matter, check diaphragm and valve body
for potential damage, replace damaged
parts if necessary
Check shut off diaphragm for potential
damage, replace the shut off diaphragm
if necessary
Check valve body for potential damage,
replace valve body if necessary
Remove the actuator, check the dia-
phragm mounting, replace the shut-off
diaphragm if necessary
Tighten bolting between valve body and
actuator
Check shut off diaphragm for potential
damage, replace the shut off diaphragm
if necessary
Replace actuator/valve body
Check installation of valve body in piping
Tighten threaded connections / unions
Replace sealing material
Check valve body of the GEMÜ product
for potential damage, replace valve body
if necessary
Replace the actuator
