Building Instruction
Habicht
Order-No. 11877
Two-channel glider for sailing and electric flying
Congratulations on purchasing this model kit.
Our Habicht, designed entirely in CAD and manufactured using CNC laser technology, is the ideal entry-level
model for aircraft model building. Even the experienced modeller will enjoy it. The construction of the model is
held intentionally very simple and is to be managed also by the inexperienced model builder easily.
The model is controlled via elevator and rudder, in the electric version also with motor control. The wing profile
was developed from profiles of modern high-performance models and gives the Habicht a high glide perfor-
mance with low sink rate. The model also penetrates stronger winds well. The V-shape of the wing has been
reduced to give the model excellent manoeuvrability while maintaining high stability.
The fuselage is built from few plywood and balsa parts. It is therefore very robust and forgives many hard lan-
dings. The canopy can be removed with a magnetic fastener, so that there is a comfortable access to the instal-
lations.
The wing is secured with rubber bands. It is a light rib construction, which is planked in the nose area on the
surface. The tail units are constructed from lasered individual parts.
