Possible cause and remedy
You have selected the
setting. When this is activated, the sensor controls
and proximity sensor do not respond when the oven
is switched off.
 As soon as the oven is switched on, the sensor
controls and the proximity sensor will respond. If
you want the sensor controls and the proximity
sensor to respond even when the oven is switched
off, select the
The settings for the proximity sensor are switched
off.
 Change the settings for the proximity sensor by
selecting
Settings
The proximity sensor is defective.
 Call Miele.
The oven is not connected to the electricity supply.
 Make sure that the plug is correctly inserted in the
socket and that the socket is switched on.
 Check if the circuit breaker has tripped. Contact a
qualified electrician or Miele.
If the display does not respond, there is a fault with
the controls.
 Touch and hold the On/Off  sensor until the
display switches off and the oven restarts.
There has been a brief power cut. This has caused
the current cooking programme to stop.
 Switch the oven off and then back on again.
 Restart the cooking programme.
The power supply was interrupted for longer than
150 hours.
 Reset the time and date.
The oven has been operating for an unusually long
time. This has triggered the safety switch-off
function.
 Confirm with OK.
The oven is now ready to use.
