OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE

Starting the vehicle
- Insert the ignition key in the ignition switch and turn it
clockwise to ON position. (Ref page no.15, fig no. 1)
- Bring the transmission to neutral. Confirm by checking if
the neutral indicator lamp on dash board is lit.
- Keep the fuel change over switch in 'G' to start in gas or 'P'
to start in petrol. Use choke while cold starting
- Pull the hand starter lever up-wards or use electric start
switch to start the engine. (Refer page no 24, fig no. 8)
- Wait for few minute and allow the engine to warm up before
engaging the gears and moving on.
For Cold starting
For 'Cold starting' i.e., in the morning after parking the
vehicle overnight, start the engine in Petrol 'P' mode then
switch over to gas 'G' mode as follows:
- Keep fuel changeover switch to petrol 'P' to start the vehicle
in petrol
- Start the engine as described and then warm up the engine
for a minute before driving.
- Put the fuel changeover switch to '---' position, when engine
starts jerking switch over to gas 'G' mode.

CAUTION
After parking the vehicle overnight always start the
engine in petrol 'P' mode and use only hand starter.
Do not open the throttle while the choke is applied, it will
cause flooding of engine and difficulty in starting.
Setting the vehicle in motion ( Ref fig.)
- When the engine has started release the parking brake.
- Dis-engage the clutch by depressing the clutch lever.
- Rotate the gear shift twist grip downward to engage the
first gear.
