MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

4.1 Maintenance and Annual Controls of the Filters
• Always comply with the applicable safety rules during maintenance and repair. The power supply must be
disconnected from the mains before any maintenance or repair work.
Every 3 Months
• Clean the labels on the device. Repair and/or replace worn, and torn labels. Maintain broken, ruptured,
worn cables and cords; if required, replace with new ones. Clean and tighten the moving parts.
Every 6 Months
• Open the the filters and clean drawers of the machine with dry air
NOTE: Limits are given above are the maximum periods. You may change your filters in more often periods.
Never operate the machine when the covers are open !

4.2 Changing the Filters

• Before replacing the roughing or main filter, turn off the unit from the on-off button and unplug the
electrical plug.
• When replacing the filters, use gloves and a dust mask.
• Unlock the filter housing cover and open the cover.
• First of all, remove and check the front roughing filter from the holder. If the front roughing filter needs to
be changed, put it in a locked bag and reserve it for demolition. Place the new filter in the holder and replace.
• Remove the main filter. Place it in a special locked bag and reserve for demolition. Place the new filter in its
place, paying attention to the direction of the arrow and lock the filter slot cover and the unit is ready for
operation again.

4.3 Destruction the Filters

The user of the DFM series units is responsible for the destruction of the filters according to the national
legal directives and regulations. At the end, the responsibility for the destruction of the MAGMAWELD filters,
which have completed their lives, also belongs to the user.
