The bowl consists of spiral tracks that convey the rivets from the base of the bowl to the slot
in the exit section of the bowl. The exit section of the bowl is covered where the rivets enter
the track. This is to prevent stray or rivets from entering the escapement.
An inductive sensor fitted above the track will identify when the track is full of rivets and
stop the bowl vibrating. These airline help the orientation of rivets entering the track (radial
blows) and prevent blockages in the track (recovery blow).
Fitted underneath the base section of the bowl is an inductive sensor which is the bowl full
sensor. When the bowl is low of rivets the hopper dispenser is agitated to replenish the bowl
with rivets.
CAUTION
Each Compact Bulk Rivet Feeder is programmed to work with a specific
rivet. Caution should be exercised to ensure that only the correct rivet is
loaded. The part number is on the rivet pack and this should match the
rivet type for the machine.

The escapement track
sensor detects the
presence of rivets in the
track. When no rivets
are detected the bowl is
activated.
The vibrating bowl runs
until rivets are again
detected by the track
